Haltom City Police Chase Ends With Crash

HALTOM CITY (CBSDFW.COM) – A carjacking involving an off-duty police officer on Tuesday morning resulted in a chase and crash. The incident started at around 5:30 a.m. when the officer called authorities for assistance.

The officer is with the Haltom City Police Department. He informed authorities that his Ford Mustang had been stolen, and police were then able to locate the missing vehicle. But the suspects did not stop, instead leading officers on a chase through the area.

That chase ended with a crash at a beer and wine store near the intersection of Sylvania Avenue and Kimbo Road.

There were two suspects inside of the carjacked vehicle. One of them was injured and transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The second suspect fled from the scene on foot and has not yet been found. Authorities have not yet released any additional…
