Propane Truck Fire Burns Overnight On I-20

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) — Interstate 20 between Bowman Spring and Highway 287 will remain closed until Saturday morning due to a propane fire that is burning as a result of a collision between a delivery truck and car.

The City of Arlington said they expect the fire to continue burning through the night, until the morning.

Out of fear of an explosion, the heavily traveled I-20 was closed in both directions as crews waited for the propane take to burn itself out.

“The traffic must be backed up to Mississippi by now!” said Dennis Bullock, a driver who got stuck in the mess.

The traffic was so bad some drivers nearly ran out of gas trying to get around the mess.
